The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
Release Date: June 4, 2021
Release Date: June 4, 2021
This is the third main entry in The Conjuring series. The story follows Ed and Lorraine Warren while they are investigating a chilling case during the 80s. The same two actors, Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, return to take their place in the starring roles. In the story, they are searching for the truth behind a murderer claiming that they were possessed by a demon for their legal defense- the first time this happened in American history.
What is interesting about The Conjuring movies, is that they are inspired by supposedly real events recorded by the real ghost-hunter counterparts to Ed and Lorraine. While the film likely overdramatizes the reports from the paranormal investigators, believing that the movie was inspired by supposedly nonfiction events makes it feel a lot creepier.
The trailer shows the Warrens traveling to London to help a single mother of four deal with a haunting in their home. When they arrive they soon start to experience many terrifying supernatural events and discover the lost soul of a young boy.
The producers of this movie have been keeping the plot closely guarded. However, based on the quality of the other two main The Conjuring movies, it will probably end up on every horror fan’s “need to watch” list. Especially with James Wan, the director of the first two movies, is returning as a writer.
James Wan is a great horror writer, so you can be sure to expect The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It to be up to his standards.
Director: Michael Chaves
