Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula Official Trailer

Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula
Release Date: August 7, 2020

We have seen a lot of zombie movies, but the way that the monsters “flowed” out of the gate in a pile during the trailer was crazy to see. Train to Busan: Peninsula is a sequel to the 2016 South Korean zombie movie and is known for the way that they turn traditional zombie horror movies into thrilling action-filled sequences.

The monsters in this movie are not your familiar meandering creatures- they run, jump and chase characters throughout the film. It makes it feel more like the main characters are being hunted rather than stalked.

The plot for the sequel takes place 4 years after the original, following the story of a soldier in a South Korean zombie wasteland. He discovers survivors and takes them under his wing, protecting them from the zombies as they try to find a way off the peninsula they are trapped on.

The first movie was known for having intense action scenes carried forward by a simple story. Peninsula might be more complex, but it can use the base that the first movie set to create a truly thrilling zombie movie. We are looking forward to its release in the states.

This series combines action and horror perfectly on the screen. You will want to see it through to end to know if the characters are able to escape the peninsula alive.

While it is was only recently released in South Korea due to the pandemic and is only a few weeks from its release here, you can still quickly catch up by watching the first movie. It will change your mind on how zombie movies can be done and get you hyped up to see the director, Yeon Sang-ho’s, newest work. Any zombie lover would enjoy these movies.

We are excited to see more from Yeon Sang-ho in the future.
